The cover charge at smaller, less popular clubs ranges from $5 to $10, and credit cards are rarely accepted for this. Covers at larger venues may spike to $30, and tickets usually can be purchased through www.tickets.com or www.ticketweb.com. Bars often have covers for live music—usually $5 to $15.
