From Disneyland to the beach cities, laid-back Los Angeles definitely has a reputation as a family-friendly destination. Resorts and hotels along the coast, in particular, attract plenty of beach-going family vacationers looking for sun and sandcastles. Some properties provide such diversions as in-room movies, toys, and video games; others have suites with kitchenettes and foldout sofa beds. Hotels often provide cribs, rollaway beds, and references to babysitting services, but make arrangements when booking the room, not when you arrive.
